Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Edgar Allan Poe, one of the greatest writers from the Romantic Era
Media Advisory – For Immediate Release
Baltimore, MD --- Do or Die Productions, Inc., best known for its offerings of comic, interactive murder mystery shows, is excited to announce that Poe’s Last Stanza, an original interactive play celebrating Edgar Allan Poe, is coming to the Admiral Fell Inn for a special, one night only performance on February 14, 2017.
Steps from where Poe was found over one hundred and fifty years ago, delirious and unresponsive, the Admiral Fell Inn and Do or Die Productions invite you to spend an evening with Edgar Allan Poe in the elegant and historic atmosphere at the Admiral Fell Inn. Share stories, love, poetry and spirits with Baltimore’s Bard. Poe passes the time in a local tavern, matching wits and sharing wisdom with the barmaid. He may even engage in a little verbal sparring with you! While the show marks a departure from Do or Die’s murder mystery shows, it still has the same comedic and interactive elements that fans have come to know and love.

“The Admiral Fell Inn is an amazing fit for Poe’s Last Stanza,” says Do or Die Founder and Author of Poe’s Last Stanza, CJ Crowe, “The audience will see a Poe who is far different from the usual morose and morbid portrayal that is the norm. They will see a multi-faceted, brilliant man, whose dark side is offset by wit and humor.”
BroadwayWorld.com says “…Snappy exchanges and humorous repartee take turns with more serious and introspective moments…The entire audience is completely invested.” Poe’s Last Stanza is the first in a series of dinner shows planned at the Admiral Fell Inn. Do Or Die Productions, best known as Baltimore’s homegrown murder mystery company, will also begin a series of “thrilling Thursday” mysteries beginning the third Thursday in March. The cost for the murder mystery dinner shows will be $65.00 per ticket.
Theatre Bloom says “…Witty, clever and remarkably engaging…a fun evening that is a unique experience…”

About Do or Die Mysteries
Do or Die Productions was founded by CJ Crowe and has been inviting audiences to Eat, Drink and be Wary since 1993.
Comedy and interaction are the key elements in every Do or Die show. The majority of shows are murder mysteries, however, Poe’s Last Stanza has recently been added to the lineup. Poe’s Last Stanza is mysterious, but is not a murder mystery. More non-murder oriented interactive scripts are in the works.
Do or Die has performed as the house mystery company for Blair Mansion Restaurant (sorry folks, it’s closed now), Chesapeake Music Hall (sorry, folks, this one closed too. Nothing to do with us – we swear), Flanagan’s Harp and Fiddle in Bethesda (we left), Chesapeake Arts Center and myriad corporate parties and fundraisers. Currently Do or Die performs regularly at the Grand, 225 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, MD, and the Sunset Restaurant, 625 Greenway in Glen Burnie, MD.
In 2015 Do or Die Productions was nominated in the category of Best Professional Comic Improv Troupe by the Maryland Theatre Guide Reader’s Choice Awards. We lost. As of 2015, it is the only murder mystery company in the Maryland/DC/Virginia corridor with a 5 start YELP rating.
In short, we aim to please – but we shoot to kill.
